Thank you. That’s great. I can see in the photo above that the camera focused on your hands or itself (!!!? maybe self-awareness is emerging in cameras) but that might just be the mode you used. Very interested to hear how it goes in face and eye recognition modes.Hello Marty, and thank you.
I picked up the camera last week and the next day my wife and I went on a 4 day trip. I didn't take the GFX100SII with me because I was trying to travel light. Yesterday was the first chance I had to take it out and take some pictures, mainly I wanted to make sure it worked and that there weren't any problems with it. It was a lousy day; heat, humidity, hazy bad light, but I didn't want to wait any longer to test it out, so, out I went for a couple hours of shooting. The camera handled the heat and humidity better than I did.
Initial reaction compared to the GFX50R: auto-focus and tracking are vastly improved on the GFX100SII. I really like my GFX50R and I plan to keep it and continue to use it but I feel like comparing it to the GFX100SII is just not fare. It's like comparing an older dependable family car to a new Bentley.
Anyway, after using it some more I'll post pictures and comments.
All the best,
Mike
