W/NW Self Portrait

Keeping an eye on progress, a couple of days before Christmas.
My recently serviced near peefect 1955 IIIf RD and 1951 50 Elmar on FP4 plus. The bookcase is from around 1830. The house 1915. I don’t feel so old.

Hell, a spring chicken! When I'm out with my Rolleiflex K3, folks often sidle up and want to know, "How old is that camera?". When I tell them it was made in 1952, I get the inevitable "Oh my God!". I pause for a beat and add, "Just like me". That usually embarrasses them enough that they shut up and leave me alone. 😉

I went to a chain store, autobahn, to buy a new reflective windshield cover against the harsh summer sun. At the counter by the door a kid of 20 something asks me what I’m after, then clocks the IIIf and names it. He has a Nikon S2. How on earth did he get into this? His mate. What size cover do you reckon? Turns out the boss has the same Citroen. So after talking rangefinders I got to talk Citroens. What a wonderful world.

Ah, our youth! A shining beacon of hope for a brighter tomorrow! At least in this instance...

Testing out Doomo D light meter on the M2. It works very well. Delta 100 in Xtol.
