It feels like a breakthrough.
I'd been trying to fit flex nibs to fountain pens, with sorry results. Not enough ink. Or much too much. I present my self-built Piston pen, with a gigantic reservoir, a fitted ebonite feed, and a Zebra G nib :
Wet ink. Laying thick on the paper. No drips, no drops, no dribbles, just ink on demand.
You can sort of see the precision of the fit here : the back end of the nib is in full contact with the section, except for a tiny but that has been pushed up by the edge of the embossing.
It goes on writing like this for pages and pages. No false starts, no railroading. All the ink I need on demand. I'm chuffed.
