Mike, the babes in your home town are one luscious and lovely looking lot!!
I wish I had the raw courage to go walkabout with my cameras as you do in Japan, here in Surabaya, and test my skills in making street candids. Alas, I don't.

This one is a Japanese Burl Ives. His black dye job is well done. And the shirt is gorgeous, I would have asked where he bought it...

For some reason, a lot of the girls in Japan have really cool umbrellas. At least, in some of your photos, they do. I love this. You find some really interesting people for your photos. I walk around my small home town in Texas and all I find are cowboys and rednecks. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but, you know...The Streets of Yokohama

Hello, Rick! For some reason, a lot of the girls in Japan have really cool umbrellas. At least, in some of your photos, they do. I love this. You find some really interesting people for your photos. What looks' like umbrellas are actually parasols. Let me explain:
Per the internet: Unlike traditional umbrellas, which are primarily used to shield from rain, parasols are meant to protect against the harmful rays of the sun. The purpose of a parasol is clear – to keep you cool and protected from the scorching heat of the sun.
To say that parasols are popular with the women in Japan would be like saying that wearing clothes (shirt, pants/dress, socks, shoes, etc.) when one leaves the house is a popular thing to do. The parasol is ingrained into the outdoor attire system. Many women wouldn’t leave the house without one. And, recently, men have started to use them too. I don’t want to get political about climate change, but people around here are really feeling the brutal sunshine and heat right now. The parasol is really effective. They are designed for UV protection, and they have cooling properties built into them too!
If it wasn’t so inconvenient to carry a camera and a parasol at the same time, I’d probably use one too. In August, when I walk around during the day taking pictures my camera gets so hot one could fry an egg on it.
Anyway, thanks for taking the time to comment.
All the best,
Mike

Love this one, simply looking at the gature and the expression on the girl's face and the one of the man behind makes the photo interesting in a unique way.

In Vietnam, UNIQLO is now selling UV hoodies. They are flying off the shelf. The parasol is really effective

It is interesting how people in different regions react to their environment. In Texas, where it has been brutally hot for weeks, most of the men wear ball caps or cowboy hats outdoors. I live in a very rural area, so cowboy hats are the norm, here. The women usually wear floppy hats to fight the sun. Almost no one uses a parasol, like Mike described, or any type of UV hoodie, or something similar, that OTL mentioned. However, in the larger cities in Texas, you will find people using various UV clothing items to beat the heat.
