W/NW The Streets of Yokohama!

I gotta say that the 50/1.5 Heliar Classic SC renders better tones than any other lens I've seen you use, Mike. These are just outstanding. Of course your photography contributes a ton to the mix but I really love the look from that lens. The contrast is Zeiss-like (I'm kinda a Zeiss fan).

Thank you, DownUnder, it is true that I prefer photographing women more than men. I think that woman are more photogenic. They're usually better at presenting themselves in public and their facial expression are (IMO) far more expressive and interesting than men. As an example here's one from yesterday.

Thank you, Dogman, the Voigtländer 50mm f1.5 Heliar Classic SC VM lens is one of my favorite lenses. It's without a doubt my favorite 50mm lens. It seems to posses some sort of magic; maybe the SC (single-coating) has something to do with it. Dogman, I know you're a big fan of black & white images, however, this lens is not only good for monochrome, it's exceptional (IMO) for color photography too! For example:

Mike's approach to working within a personal space while in public is to be admired, but I also wonder if there is less to fear regarding a confrontation because of the Japanese society's inherent respect for individuals. At least I would like to think so.
