Hoo! A Japanese Louis Untermeyer.

Or a mad scientist either on day leave or escaped again...

On a somewhat different theme, I've just noticed Mr Yokohama is now the proud owner of a new XE5.

Your impressions of this camera will be interesting. I had a look at it and I liked it, but the sale price for it in Australia is too rich for my blood (and my bank balance), so I'll stay with my XE2 and Xpro1.

It took me a year to get colors I could live with on that Xpro2, and even then thanks to you, kind sir, with your good advice about film simulations and other settings. For which, once again, many thanks!

Hello DownUnder!

I thought the X-E4 was a pretty good camera but because it was far more minimalistic than I cared for I sold it awhile back. Now, the X-E5 is a completely different animal that the X-E4. The X-E5 is a well built sophisticated beast of a camera. Rock solid build. I really like it a lot. It feels so good in my hand. I've been using it mostly with the Fujinon pancake lenses (23mm f2.8, 27mm f2.8, and 18mm f2) as well as the Voigtländer Color-Skopar 18mm f2.8 (X-mount) lens . So far I have nothing bad to say about it.

All the best,
Mike

Many thanks for your comments with, as usual, a most excellent image.

From all reports the XE5 looks a positive move for Fuji. I'm skint but still interested...

A (small) correction to my post #2163. I meant Xpro2, not Xpro1.

I've not owned but I did use a friend's Xpro1 extensively in the past. I liked it, but not my type of camera. So I doubt a subconscious wish made me post '1' and not '2'...

the ever-present portable electric fan; this summer it's hard to find a young girl without one
and, is this a subtle FU gesture or simply a mater of timing
the streets of Yokohama are always interesting
