Since I live in a town in the middle of a forest, I have a habit of taking a fair amount of photos of trees. So I thought I would make a project of it and take portraits of the trees as if they were people. Somewhat inspired by Cartier-Bresson's often book of overlooked landscape photographs, I thought I would do it on film with a Leica rangefinder in much the same way as someone might make portraits of people on the street. Here are three taken near the ponds at Kokanee Park, near where I live in British Columbia, Canada.
