I used to live near there, something like the Critenden Locks, I can't quite remember.

Yes, it is the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks, built and managed by the Army Corps of Engineers, is located in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. I enjoy walking through the area with the gardens, salmon ladder, and the activity of the ships going through the locks.
