Various wet plate collodion images...sorry if not appropriate here since its RFF, but all shot wide open on a few different very old Petzval lenses circa 1900 or earlier...at around f3.3 or close to it...
Thank you Scarecrow. I wish I could shoot more on wet plate, but I moved to a new place, and don't have darkroom space. Hopefully I can get makeshift portable darkroom together and get back into it.
A favorite from a recent assignment. Taken at late dusk along the East side of Oahu, Hawaii. Fuji X Pro 1, ISO 3200, 35mm f/1.4 wide open. The dancer was performing a hula dedicated to the goddess Hina, and given the faltering light and rapid movement I just had to bump the ISO, open the lens to max aperture, and cross my fingers. The X Pro continues to surprise me, and despite AF complaints from many users, I trust it more than I ever did my 5D MKII in tricky AF situations...
