W/NW: wide ohhhpen

As far as I could go. F2.8 at 1/1000 on a sunny late afternoon. Leica M4-2/90 Tele-Elmarit; T-Max 100 /Rondinal.

Two Nikkors. The smiling rock is the F-mount sonnar Nikkor-Q 135 f3.5 pre-Ai and the high fiving tree stump is the venerable Nikkor-S 50 f1.4 also pre-Ai. Both are favourites of mine. I especially like the way the 50 creates a charcoal like drawing. There was no background for the 135, but in the right conditions, it will swirl with the best of them.

Old pre thorium version of Takumar 55 f1.8 on a Pentax SV with Ilford FP4 in Rodinal(Blazinal). For next to nothing, a heck of a lens.

I have probably posted this one in years past, but I really like this portrait of my friend's dog Mr. Frodo. Wide open using Canon 50mm/f0.95 on Canon 7s
