Before Zeiss came out with the Contax, they tried to compete with the Robot half-frame camera with the Tenax camera. It is built first quality and it came with three lenses. The normal lens was a 40mm lens. The other two lenses cost over $1000 each. For some reason, the first Tenax is called Tenax II (unofficially) while the much simpler follow-up Tenax is called Tenax I. It gives square images. I have the 40/2 Sonnar on a Tenax II.
