For me, having the G1 for nearly a year, the GF1 isn't a compelling enough replacement...I would only get one as a 2nd body.
Yes, it's a nice attractive camera, but it's a lot more than I paid for my G1 ($468 new) and only offers one additional feature (video), plus the EVF is a downgrade and $180 additional expense. And no swivel screen...
I also don't mind the looks of the G1, as I don't buy cameras for looks; it doesn't attract attention, always a good thing.

I got to handle all of the m43 cameras today at B&H in NYC. I really liked all of them. I own the EP-1, and with the reasoning that the end justifies the means (it produces nice images)....... and the fact that it has in body IS...... pretty much the Panasonic cameras are much better in every other way. MF is clearly easier on the GF-1 compared to the EP-1. Playing at B&H I was able to test both, the higher resolution screen simply is an important feature in the comparison. The controls turning on and off the MF assist zoom is clumsy on the EP-1 too. I am not yet sold on the "small dslr" style of the G-1 and GH-1. And I have to admit that I am not a fan of zoom lenses. I think all of these cameras, for me, are killer with a decent tiny fixed focal length lens. The Pany 20 as no where to be seen unfortunately.
I know where a bunch of 20s are. Super lens.

finally got to play with a gf1 today. the af wasn't much faster than the e-p1, and i'd like an accessory grip, but overall it was pretty neat. nice lcd, too. still, it didn't light my fire.
so, yes. i'm also waiting for the e-p2.
