Walmart/Fuji/Duanes: Here Are Current Prices

E-6: Sent out to Duanes
35mm: Process and MUST mount: 24/$5.88 36/$6.88

Just to add a thought, I sent them some E6 taken with my panoramic camera and they don't mount these, or any other nonstandard format. Slides came back unmounted, uncut and sleeved, perfect.

In my experience, with Dwayne's, you pay the same regardless of whether they are cut and mounted or not. But if you write DO NOT CUT DO NOT MOUNT, they will in fact do neither.

I dropped a roll of 120 Ektar 100 in the box at my Sam's Club in Houston, TX Tuesday afternoon. Develop only. We will know in 2 weeks.

Stand by.

OK i just got back 2 rolls of Ektar in 120 from Walmart/Fuji. Still 84 cents a roll for me in my area (Houston, TX). Pricing and availabilty vary based on which Fuji lab services your Walmart.

which houston walmart/sams?

which houston walmart/sams?

I asked the one on westview and they had no clue - dunvale seemed to have an idea but i would like to know where you have had success. If a store knows the routine i would feel much more comfortable.

Many 35mm services are posted. I stopped taking medium format to Walmart. I decided that if I can't get a straight price via the local staff, nor via the Fuji number, then forget it. I would rather pay more and know how much I'm paying. So, for medium format I'll just send everything directly to Duanes.

OP,
Thanks for the information. Much appreciated. Here in the S.F. Bay Area, Costco will process a roll of C-41, scan it to a CD (3-to-4 Mb type scans useable for 8x10 prints), and cut & sleeve film for $5. CD works great as a 'contact sheet'.

I want to second Costco Scanning. Good for web and casual prints. That is most of what I do. I have a new Ikon and am just getting back into film. So, haven't yet setup my scanners. Here is a photo from my first roll of film scanned by Costco. I just noticed that Jamie and I use the same Costco.

I use the Walmart on South Post Oak and 610. Their employees generally don't know about film dev, as they've outsourced all film processing to Fuji . Why not shoot a testroll and send it out through your Walmart?

Yesterday... C41

Yesterday... C41

I just picked up my 120 film 15 prints and negs (C41) yesterday at my Walmart. $1.80. Prints looked good, shot in my GA645Zi Fuji.

The employees don't know squat. I fill out the "send out only" envelope myself and drop it in the Fuji kiosk, obviously to be "Sent Out Only".

I could care less what the employees know, or DON'T know. They know how to look up my name when I call to see if the film is returned. My E6 is the same way.

Sam's Club. Houston-West Road & 290. 120 develop & sleeve, $0.46/roll. Pick up & return Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday. 2 week turn around.

Very prompt call when the film arrives. This was very handy over the weekend. They left a voice mail at work which is also sent to email inbox. I picked up the film on Sunday.

Say what you will, I have no complaints.
