Hi All,

I just picked up this medium-yellow 40mm Walz filter, for $1.99 US. Has anybody used these on the 35mm F2 Canon? From my own experience, the only filters that do not vignette on this lens, at F22, are the original Canon Slimlines. I presently own the UV, and G1. I bid on one (Canon Slimline 40mm Y1) last week, but dropped out at $58!! That's too much for a filter, IMO. I have never paid more that $20 for any of my Canon Slimline filters, I have quite a few in many sizes. The 40mm is not easy to find.

How about this Walz? It looks mighty slim, to me. Work AOK at F22 on the 35mm F2 Canon?:

The filter arrived today, I received a free blue Walz, in addition to the yellow. The issue, is shooting at F22. It's quite annoying to get vignetting, I've had that, with adapter rings 43-40mm. At the left, is the Canon Slimline UV. On the right, is the Walz Medium Yellow, and Blue. They are a bit thicker than the Canons, but should work. I am shooting test frames as I am posting this.
