This was the only fixed lens leaf shuttered RF camera that had a Sonnar formula lens.

Except for the Rollei Xf35 and its voigtlander clone

Olympus XA is a Sonnar design too.

I think the Envoy 35 series are the only fully manual fixed lens cameras to feature a Sonnar lens. I've got one coming in the mail that I'm looking forward to running some film through it.

I saw a Walz Envoy M-35 w/45mm f2.8 Kominar and leather case listed for $40 at National Camera Exchange and pulled the trigger. Should be here next week and should be a fun shooter - if everything works as advertised. 🙂

Is the 2.8 indeed a Tessar design?
