Want to ask Street Price of Nikon 28ti and Contax T2 black titanium

Hi,

The Contax Tix was a brilliant, very small camera and has/had one of the best lenses I've come across in such a small package. Plus it has a lens hood, something all small P&S's need but seldom have.

APS is no longer made but can still be found if you look around. I've bought long out of date B&W APS and found it OK. I just wish they still made APS film.

Regards, David

I'm stick around with Nikon 35ti, Konica Hexar AF, Nikon 28ti, and Contax T2 black titanium but when seeing the price..I see it rather "stupid" when compared to Contax G1+Biogon 28/2.8, but Must I go direct to G2 ?

Well.... If you're considering other cameras, the field is wide open.

You didn't say how much your friend wants for his t2, so we can only guess at your budgets, so....

For 'street photography,' consider a small SLR. Nikon f80/n80 with a 35mm/f2 AF. Contax Aria + 35/2.8 Distagon.

I have owned a Contax G2 set on a few occasions - never a G1, so I can't comment on the difference - but I have sold them each time over frustration with the viewfinder size. It may still be a step up from the T2, but for me, it sucked in relation to the body size and my intended purpose. Still, here's no denying the loveliness of those lenses. Even the lowly-regarded 35/2 is fantastic.

The couple of times I've tried to shoot street with a g2 - I loved the lens results, but sometimes literally screamed at the viewfinder.
