Hi

I use Neopan 1600 EI800 the result is good,

but too bad Neopan 1600 is out of stock in my country🙁

I change to Neopan400 but want to use EI800 instead. but want to see result from this EI before i try.

I use Tmax Developer and want to know developing time too

Please help me

Thanks

According to the massive dev. chart:

TMax 1+4 7.25 minutes at 20C
or
TMax 1+9 19 minutes at 20C (with agitation continuous first 2 mins, then 15 secs per min.)

I just shot my first roll of Neopan 400 and I think it's an excellent film. I currently use Diafine so I'm stuck at 640, but I've seen nice results with pushed Neopan.

I've messed with NP 400 @ 800 a fair bit. Though, I too use XTOL, typically 1:1. I have a rather low-end scanner, so that might be a factor in terms of the dynamic range and sharpness, but here are some of the shots that I remembered to tag:

Honestly, I think quite possibly I might like NP 400 @ 800 better than NP 1600 @ 800. Seems like not only pretty low grain, but I think perhaps a bit better tonality and not quite so much crazy contrast than NP 1600 can have at times. However, haven't done this enough and long enough to have a definitive opinion at this point. Right now I'm tinkering with TMAX 400.

I kind of like HP5+ @ 800. Some actually seem to prefer that at 800 rather than at 400 because it is almost too flat at 400. Once again not experienced with all of these films to be certain, but I think I was beginning to get a bit tired of HP5+ because I generally like a bit darker/stronger blacks than what I was seeing with HP5+.

At any rate, if you like NP 1600 @ 800, I don't think you have to worry about NP 400 @ 800. Experimentation is a good thing, once and a while.
