WARNING! Major hack of Youxin Ye Yahoo account

I get two or three of these a year from folks who's e-mail accounts get highjacked. It's just like the Nigerian 402 letters, until it becomes common knowledge, people will go for this kind of scam. Then they just start another one.

Come on guys. Stop with the joke.

Competent Leica repair experts are important members of the RF community. We should take the message seriously and send out a rescue party to Greece.

I got this too and thought if very suspicious and I was going to try to contact Youxix before sending anything. Jim

I right away called Youxin and he already knew about the scam and apologized. What nerve some people have but I'm glad no one here fell for the scam.
 
Another reason to own a Leica...you get to play with hackers...can someone get any lower than what they just did...
 
One important thing is not to reply to the scam email even if it's to tell the scammer to 'shove their head where the sun never shines!'

That said, is anyone willing to loan me the amount so I can hand it to Youxin personally ... we'll be catching up for a coffee this Friday.
 
Thanks for the head up on this ! I have received the same email and it was automatically marked as "junk" by the Thunderbird software ...

And there's a jerk born every minute too. Hope no one falls for that crap. Seems like the S**t just keeps on coming.
 
I feel left out-I didn't get one of those, but I get one almost everyday from somebody in Nigeria in a similar vein.

I didn't get the e-mail, maybe because I never dealt with Youxin..... but I have got similar e-mails from a voluptous lady needing to clear money somewhere in Europe and a friend who was stuck in London, whom I talked to a few minutes earlier before reading the e-mail.

The sad part, there are people who fell for it.
