I'm using a V700 with Snow Leopard, scanner version software should be the latest version (3.81). Here's what happens: I'll scan a batch of 35mm and everything will work fine.
After I switch out the negatives for the next batch, when I hit the Preview button, it will give me a really washed out and incomplete preview. The scanner will make a 'grinding' noise when doing the previewing. Please see the attached for an example.
If I hit Preview again, everything will work fine. Scanning after previewing works fine without a problem.
Does anybody else get this problem?
