They’re different, because with the weights on the arms of the balance you have to stop the balance to adjust it.

My dad loved the 86 year old Crawford wristwatch that we gave him for his 76th birthday yesterday! My mom bought the watch on Ebay; then I completely restored it by servicing the movement, cleaning the watch case, replacing the band, and having a new crystal custom made for it. It runs like new now!

I've made several posts about the work I was doing for it over the last couple of weeks. Crawford watches were a brand made from the 1930s to the 1940s. It was an American company that imported watches from Switzerland.
