October last year my brother passed and I now have his modest collection of watches.
I know very little about them but they are decent micro brands.
19 or 20 mechanical watches. Mostly much bigger/chunkier than what I like.
I am keeping two of them; the one he wore most and the last one he bought. ( a Zelos Mako and an anOrdain.)
I’m trying to decide how to deal with the rest of them.
Ideally, I’d have a local auction house that could sell the watches but around here farm equipment is king.
Online auction houses seem very interested in rolex level stuff but not so much in 5 or 6 hundred dollar watches.
Anyone have any recommendations/suggestions?

This place might be good for a start -- a pretty active community: WatchUSeek Watch Forums

We have a good local watch repair guy and he does sell watches. But his focus is mostly on Vintage watches. I talked to him in early November last year and while he did offer some good advice, he didn't seem interested in the watches.
But, about two days after I posted, he reached out to me. And he was willing to either make a cash offer OR to sell them on consignment. So we worked out a deal.
I appreciate the suggestion, though!
