Watching Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (2pm Sunday PM).
Is that a black Leica that Polly Perkins, the love interest, played by Qwyneth Paltrow is using to snap pictures of the giant robots marching through the streets.
B/W movie shot in the haze of the era.
I just caught a glimpse. It could very well have been a Black Argus. Remember, Argus had government contracts for radio parts during WWII.
Joe (Sky Captain) is flying a P40 Mustang.
OOPs.. just saw it again.. it's the "brick" Argus C3-pretty sure.

The image used on the movie's poster is of the rather common early version C-3 or, unlikely, a C-2. You can't tell a C-2 from the original version of the C-3 without seeing the flash contacts on the side or seeing it with an attached flash. The C-2 is rather rare so it's unlikely they used one. Most of the posters use the picture flipped left to right making the camera look somewhat odd to anyone familiar with it.
