A sweet friend of mine and her boyfriend announced two weeks ago, at a small party at their place, that they are getting married. We all were very happy for them.

A few days ago however, at a discussion at the Greek, they said, that i'm more than welcome to take photos at the Big Event. Nothing official, just as a friend, casual shots. I really feel honoured. It's in mid-august but i already think about how to do it🙂 They have no expectations from me, but I certainly do!

It's not off-topic since i plan to bring at least one rangefinder with me. Not sure yet, but probably the Super Ikonta will be the one - and maybe the Kiev with the 85/2 if it proves to be a good user till then. Or something wider than 50mm. Or both 🙂
I'm so excited, i had to share it!

Congrats! BTW, I will have to shoot my brother's wedding in a few weeks, I guess I'll bring either the Mamiya 645 Super or the Pentax MZ5n with flash for inside dolor shots, the Bessa R with TMZ3200 for available light (the ceremony is in a medieval building with low light levels...), and the Rolleicord for some outdoor B&W.

Congratulations. Have fun, Pherdi.

Photojournalistic wedding photography seems to be getting popular. This may be a good supplement, especially if your friends already hired someone for the traditional wedding shots.

If this interests you, I am sure you've seen quite a few examples. These are two websites I like:

And I agree, this opportunity is way cool.

thanks guys, also for the great links. I'm not hpping to achieve something in the class of these guys...i'm just a guy with a camera. OK, with many cameras😀

Jon - wasn't it like "expose for the groom, develop for the bride?" 🙂
