I agree, I (tried to) help a friend manage their domains with goDaddy once and I can only imagine what a less technical person might go through just to do that. Their system is just awful, it's very confusing and they're constantly trying to upsell you something you didn't ask for. I transferred my domain registration to Dreamhost (not from goDaddy) and it was a breeze

Dreamhost has treated me decently so far, is reasonably priced and is perfectly compatible with Wordpress.

I spent about 5 hours at word press and kept getting "oops we can't find that page" for everything i tried to do. guess i'm just too stupid for word press so i gave up. same for tumblr

I've asked this question before and the only answer I got was "because it sux" which is not an answer so I am asking again.. What is wrong with godaddy?? I've used them for years without a single issue. I use their Linux hosting which is more secure than Windows hosting and would have no reason not to recommend them..
