After a few inquiries for print purchases, it occurred to me that having a website where they could simply make the purchase and order the print directly would be a smart move for future transactions.
I am familiar with SmugMug and Zenfolio, but only as photo galleries, could some of you comment on these sites re print sales and payment/cart management? I don't need anything robust or professional, just something that would enable periodic visitors to make purchases and payment directly through the site.
FYI--I'm currently using LR2.5 for all pp and have my photos on flickr/LFI.

Hi Mark,
Here's an option you might want to consider. For a small investment, you can set up your own website and domain using any reputable web hosting provider. Many of them offer (and support) installations of photo gallery packages like Gallery (gallery.menalto.com), or photo blogging applications like WordPress (wordpress.org). Once installed, the package would give you a full-blown admin area like you'd have with the hosted services, but the big advantage is that you have full control over the presentation of your site, and the web traffic stays on *your* domain.
Then if you want to sell photos on your site, you should check out Fotomoto (www.fotomoto.com) - you sign up and they give you a bit of code to put on your website that automatically adds a shopping cart. You set the pricing, then Fotomoto takes the order, processes the card transaction, passes the order to a professional print lab, ships to your customer, handles the customer service, and then pays you the balance minus a very reasonable 15% and no monthly charges.
Hope that helps!
Derek
