Webpage:US photog who uses Hassy SWC??? Any ideas...

Hi there,

I have been looking for (unsuccessfully) the website of a US photographer who uses the Hasselblad SWC (or 903swc) as his main axe.

As far as I can remember he uses Kodak 160UC exclusively, he only shoots colour, and was/is a sales rep or something for Hasselbad USA...ringing any bells?

I think he might also be a regular tutor on a pretty well known US workshop. Well as you can see I'm pretty bad with names! 🙂

Any tips appreciated.

Thanks, but it isn't Platon....

The photos are all colour, and are either candids or of found scenes....like I said I remember that he either worked or still works for Hasselblad USA as well.

Any ideas???

You are talking about Lee Friedlander who just had a major show at MOMA in NYC. He walks around with his 903 and about 50 rolls of films everyday.

His show had 550 photographs, of which his printed ALL of them by himself.

You are talking about Keith Johnson, who is a Hasselblad rep, and teaches at the Maine Photographic Workshops. I can't say what film he uses but he does shoot color.

Keith Johnson it is.... and it was that pic of the caged van in the car park I was remembering. No the film details are not important...although I do think I read somewhere he uses Kodak 160UC,maybe...just wanted to look at his work again.
