I am tempted to set up a website of my own to showcase my work and more importantly for me that is, to make e-book for downloading. I am seeking the advice of my more experienced friends here for their advice. 😀

Easy to do! All you need is a place to do it, a domain name, and the ability to write some HTML. I was able to get my domain name through www.icdsoft.com and it has worked out well for me, but you can get that sort of thing anywhere these days. I paid $50 per year for the website + ftp + email + domain name registration (www.growlery.com), but I believe the price has since risen to $60 per year. No big deal, though.
