Hi guys

Am starting this thread to share some shots taken on a RF, Bessa RF on weddings. Seldom see people shooting weddings on RF, most would be armed with a DSLR, so I decided I could share some here.

Please do feel free to share wedding shots taken by yourself here as well!

CV Color-Heliar 75mm F2.5

Please feel free to share your shots as well!

I took my R2A, Nokton 35mm f1.4 SC and Neopan 1600 along to my sister-in-law's wedding, some of the better ones in this Flickr set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dws21/sets/72157622230903405/

I was mainly shooting video, so took the photos for fun, the bride and groom preferred many to the official photographer's - or so they said... 😉

My favourite shot:

Excellent shot indeed...
I wonder how well Neopan 1600 showed up here...
Did you shot it at 1600 ? What development ?

Many thanks for the kind comments, yes it was at 1600, developed by Peak Imaging who I believe use Kodak X-Tol developer (I must start doing that at home). PP in Lightroom with a split tone Palladium effect I found on the Internet somewhere.

Very nice photos here. I especially like the OP's first pic.

I shot my first wedding two weekends ago, and read every thread here on RFF regarding wedding photography before doing so (and I still went ahead 🙄🙂). I mainly used a Bessa R3A and a Minolta X700 (the AE came in very handy), backed up by an M2 for a few shots. About 85% of the shots were taken with two lenses: the Rokkor-M 40/2 on the R3A; and the MD-Rokkor 85/2 on the X700. The R3A/40 combo was perfect for candids and portraits. The gear worked out well, I actually enjoyed the experience (though it was exhausting), and I got some pix that pleased the b&g. I'll try to post some this evening.

I used AE a lot, but I'd also add that 1) I did not have to contend w/ highly contrasty light (the wedding ceremony was in a large evenly lit room and the reception was outdoors); and 2) I frequently made use of the exposure adjustment feature to address backlighting and shadows.

I love shooting weddings with my M8 and CV Nokton 35mm 1.2.
Stephen.
