Hi Folks,
I'm going to Vermont (Burlington, Warren) this weekend, and wondering if you have any suggestions for cool things to do or see there. I'm going for a 60th birthday party, so I'll be taking lots of people shots. Still not sure about cameras to take; thinking about my Minox 35GTE and Zeiss Ikon 520 folder. Of course my wife says just take the dslr. Any comments welcome. Thanks.

It's been a while since I've been to it, but the Shelburne Museum ought to provide at least a pleasant afternoon and lots of photo opportunities..

Another good possibility would be the 1-hour long ferry trip across Lake Champlain to New York... Very scenic.

Plan for a dinner at the Essex Inn. Outstanding kitchen. Good place to stay, too.
Best,

Thanks for the replies. And it looks like Burlington has some cool photography stores, too. Still haven't decided on the cameras to take, though.

And of course, a visit to Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream is mandatory.

Don't miss LeZot, downtown on Church Street. Best used selection in Vermont I think.

I had a great time in Vermont this weekend. Didn't manage any of your suggestions except for LeZot, which was awesome. They said they have a trained tech to repair any camera out there, and had mailed 16 packages the day before all to non-US addresses (mostly Canada, but not all). They also had some sweet used cameras for sale, including the first Xpan I've ever held. Nice. I've got a ton of film to have developed, but the Kodachrome will take a couple of weeks. I'll try post something soon from the trip. Beautiful countryside up there.
