Friday is a public hollyday in Denmark - "big praying day" - no body prays but apparanty a lot og saint this and that days were rationalized into one day several hundred years ago!

Thet weather report is good misty mornings and sunny seme clouded days while the spring is stil holding back a bit - the scenaries are not all cluttered with green colours!

I got a good deal on Pan F 50 and Agfa RSX II 50 so I am going to give as many cameras a run for their money as possible, so at the end of this extended weekend I can justify my totally GAS.

I am going to pay special attention to the out of focus areas of the summarit 1,5 and the Yashinon 1,4 - the depth of field and the rendering by my baby Linhof 6x9 wich I have not testet "in depth" yet.

I have been shooting some rolls with the voigtländer vitessa / ultron this week so I might be giving that a rest while trying to figure out how to use the close focus attachment on my Super Ikonta - and the 192? rollfilm back on my Maximar 207/1 - and perhaps some side by side comparing the rolleiflexes - ups not a rangefinder - 1953 Tessar Zeiss Opton and a 1956 Tessar Carl Zeiss.

I also do have a 35 mm summaron 3,5 that i have not yet tryied out on my IIIf

In other words - I am going to be totally beat when I get back to the office monday after an exhuasting weekend

what are you shooting plans for the weekend ?

Cheers ruben

ps. attached foto is rolleiflex not rangfinder unless one could say that a tlr actually is a rangfinder - after all a rangfinder do have mirrors to

i'm off tomorrow and it's supposed to be sunny & warm!

i plan to get up and make a nice big breakfast along with a great tasting pot of coffee.

and then i'm gonna hit the streets (me, not the camera) and shoot some tri-x.
i think i'll head to the legislative grounds first, then maybe a park and the to my regulay hunting ground, whyte avenue.

i'll be filling up my 'new' m-classic bag, for sure with the 35/2, not sure what else yet.

and that's just friday!

Good shooting, Ruben! Enjoy!

This Saturday I'll be doing a shoot for an organization called Evergreen. A tree planting event to create more 'green' spaces in the urban environment.

We have Buddha's day this weekend and on Monday we have ANZAC day (kinda like veteran's day in the U.S. with some weird cult stuff thrown in - but a public holiday nonetheless). Should be lots of good shootin'.

Since I've been on vacation for ten days now, tomorrow and Saturday will be pretty much the same routine: get up, walk dog, go for coffee at the coffee shop, make list of all the "Honey Do" projects, review list, hightail it out to the car with a couple of cameras, several lenses and a few rolls of film. Today it was my newest Ebay SLR (Albinar MS-2, a Chinon CM5 clone), 7 new to me T mount primes from 28 to 300 mm, an Olympus Stylus Zoom, and my Zorki 4K w/ Industar. Last few days it has been a King Regula Cita, Buena, Ricoh KR10, 4 or 5 primes (gotta get out of the usual grab zoom habit) and Pentax K1000. Tomorrow if the weather holds, Yashica day with J, Campus, and YK. Ok, and maybe Pentax P3 (bad SLR habits are hard to shake). Besides it's still not technically summer, so summer projects can be placed on hold for a few weeks yet. Thank goodness for an understanding wife, lol.

Take a few snaps even if you've had too many shots 🙂
It's a great way to check your bokeh.
I've taken some of my best photos drunk. 😛

besides, you need another good avatar shot 😀

I was planning on shooting two or three rolls at a dilapidated home site along a two-lane road lined with old homes that will shortly be bulldozed and turned it to another burbclave. There are two houses that have been totally neglected and are overgrown and collapsing that I really want to shoot soon, before they are gone. A lot of these places are being paved over and turned into Super-Mall-Marts in this area so I was hoping to get a record of what was there when it was an actual neighborhood. The weather looks to be favorable and if I can figure out how to get around with this damn broken toe, I should be in great shape.

Sheesh...all of your lives sound better than mine...I'm gonna be stuck painting my guest bedroom this weekend. When I'm finished, I'll take a picture of it. 🙁

To all the active shooters here - good luck! May all of your images be keepers! 😉

Hi Chris,
Shhhh, don't mention painting around my wife, it's on her list near the top.
Hi Randy,
Be sure to make the effort and capture those houses on film while you can. I hemmed and hawed about shooting one of the oldest homes in our city. You guessed it, the morning I worked up the gumption to shoot it (did I mention I'm still fiercely shy about taking photos of people or while folks are around, LOL) I found an empty lot where the house used to stand. A shame too since it was so old the unpainted wood had turned black, it had that sought after "leaning" effect, and looked a lot like it could have been in any old wild west town.

I'm still planless at the moment; as far as I'm concerned just not being at work will be enough to make me dizzyingly happy. I bought two rolls of Kodak C-41 B&W film on clearance at Target last weekend which I'll just HAVE to go try it out to see if it justifies going back and buying up all the rest of it 🙂. I also have my Seagull TLR and my Holga sitting here on my desk with half-finished rolls of film whispering "take me with you" into my ear... they're getting hard to ignore.

Thinking about shooting pix of the Tour De Georgia this weekend, Lance Armstrong is riding in it again this year...

Do it, this is his last year for the Tour de France, sounds like a good opportunity!

Tomorrow and Saturday I'm hoping to get out of the house with the Agfa Karat 36 and just burn through a roll or two of futz around street shooting. Then on Sunday, at church the Bishop is in town for his annual visit so my babysitter is getting baptized and my wife is being recieved into the church (I'm Episcopalian and she was born Roman Catholic). I've got a couple of rolls of Fuji 800 set aside for the cavern that is our church so with luck I'll get shots to make everyone happy without resorting to flash.

Should make walgreens really happy when they see me walk in Sunday afternoon with all that C41 film ... 😀

Tonight (friday) I'll attend a poetry festival's award ceremony. I'll bring the M2, I think.

Tomorrow my little girl has a Spring festival at school. I'll bring the Bessa R + J8 and the CL + CV 25, I think
Tomorrow afternoon there's an open podium as part of the poetry festival. Again the R and CL will come along.

If the weather is OK I'll try to get up early on Sunday and take my girl out riding. Another opportunity to bring the R and CL.

Enough for a weekend, methinks. 🙂
