What is the most unusual lens either you or somebody you've seen, has mounted on the GXR?
My silver Jupiter 8 really doesn't look the part, but it's a pretty common combo. I have a FD->LM adapter en route which will allow me to use my small set of Canon lenses. Hopefully the handling isn't too bad. I'm also considering hunting down a Jupiter 12, the 8's focal length is a tad difficult to deal with considering the crop factor.

My GXR is sitting beside me with a Canon FD 85/1.2 S.S.C. Aspherical mounted on it....does this count as unusual?

That counts as...heavy?
Seriously though, how does it handle? Any photos from that setup you can share?

Not as heavy as you'd think, actually feels OK. I just received the adapter, but here's a shot w/o

i used mine with my zeiss biotar 85/1.5 exakta mount with exakta>konica ar + konica ar>m mount adapters! hows that for weird? results were stellar, even got infinty focus. personally, the lens is too big for me with this camera, which is why i'm selling it.

85 1.9 Serenar with hood. Looks like a black duck is trying to swallow a shark. Or a pocket shotgun. The glass and chrome weigh about 47 pounds. But the results are great to my eye.

GXR Mount + Nikon F -> Leica M adapter, Tamron Adaptall 24-48mm. Or Tamron Adaptall 35-80mm.
Not very unusual, but fun. Beautiful lenses with low contrast, that works miracles on a modern sensor without AA filter.

no clive, not at all. ive stacked others as well and no problem. also, there was a typo in my OP, its a 75/1.5 biotar, not 85. results ive gotten really were excellent, even at infinity.

One beach holiday I used a leica 135mm goggled lens on the gxr - m mount. I thought it looked Art Deco cosmic. My family (men and boys) thought it looked liked something the Terminator would have strapped to his head. They described it as "deadly". Wish I took a picture

the lens itself is not all that weird, but since I don't know of anybody else who converted Pen-F lenses to Leica M, this 'is' weird:
Olympus halfframe lens Pen-F 1.8/38 on GXR M
