All,

I would like to welcome back as a sponsor Robert White. As you know, Robert White is the premier camera shop in Europe. This may be a little premature on my part to mention. But, Robert White is now the official UK distributor of Zeiss. And if you are looking for an Epson RD1, the word is that Robert White has aquired a good stock of them and is selling them at a very good price.

Anyway,

Welcome back Robert White

(Kinda sounds like the title of a movie 🙂 )

The staff there are photographers, not salespersons, they have the stuff actually on the shelf and they send it out same day.

I ordered late one Tuesday morning and they got it to Lisbon (Portugal) by 06.00 on Wednesday morning.

I would never shop anywhere else.

I've bought from Robert White on 6 occasions now. On 4 of those 6 occasions, everything went very well, and I certainly found them a good seller. On 2 of those occasions, they were advertising stuff on their website as in stock (Konica lenses, Epson RD1) when they didn't actually have them in stock. I don't think that's terribly reputable, personally.

One perfect transaction out of one!

Their people are much better than their HTML order form - kind, patient and downright competent. Very good email support.

Their prices are excellent and devoid of Customs risk for people in the EU. (Don't forget to factor in VAT, though.)

I bought my Bronica RF645 kit from Robert White. Great experience. Great customer service, fast, courteous, and knowledgeable.

I've bought a few bits and bobs from them. Very helpful with no hard sell. Lots of good advice also. As with any store that has a web site, I always contact them before if I'm going to travel down to see them at the premises (apointment only anyway). Welcome back!

I'll add my recommendation to the torrent - ordered a VC II yesterday, postie woke me up this morning with it in his hand.

In my experience they ship items promptly, but more importantly, they are also knowledgeable individuals who are very generous with their advice.

Yes, ffordes are good. Some people may recall when they had their shop in Southend on Sea.

I certainly remember going there and asking about a lens, and the salesperson pointing out a large print on the wall and saying 'My colleague borrowed that lens and took that picture last weekend'.

I've always had very good service from Robert White - I bought my R3a there, along with other bits and bobs, light meters etc. I have never had problems with stuff being out of stock, but I guess it could be down to them not updating their web site quickly enough. I suggest giving them a phone call first to see if they have the item in stock if you are worried. They have always been very helpful with me, I highly recommend them. 🙂
