There has been a Soviet Bloc invasion in Venice Beach.

All are loaded for bear.. with Fuji C (for , err, comrad) 200. Without yet firing a shot, the Fed2 seems the nicest. The genuine original non-oem fake respray on the Kiev seems 'sensitive to touch'. The Zenit is the best Zenit I have ever handled...or put in another way, the least bad of the three I have so far owned.

Remember kids, photography is meant to be fun!

Yee haw! The FED2 was my favorite for a long time, but I got over it after they all failed in one fashion or another. A black painted Kiev, FED, or Zorki have intrigued me, but I am leery of the possibility they don't bake the paint on, which is why yours is "sensitive to the touch", or just spray right over the chrome. Maybe I'll do one of my half dozen FED2's someday when the weather is nice, and I can take the toaster oven outdoors.

Ya I think the only thing baked was the dood applying the paint...

I have been trying to make this be my Komrad since I got it, but it is resisting joining the cause. Needs to be rehabilitated.

Let us know how that one turns out for you. I keep looking at the Kievs on Fedks site... Its probably inevitable that I buy one eventually, particularly since I already have several lenses that will work on it like my Jupiter-12s and the couple-three CV SC-mount wides I have (I even have a Zeiss-Opton 50 that came on my paperweight Contax.... I wanted the lens to use on my Sony!).

Congratulations for that black Kiev and its Helios - that is probably the best normal lens available from FSU. Let us see the results!

Will be interesting to use this on my Z7 and M240 as well as film bodies.

Just read the thread, I think he means Добро пожаловать товарищи or, perhaps, Привет товарищи and it would look better if I could remember where the quotation marks are in Cyrillic on this UK keyboard...
