I'm convinced that this series is some of the best work I've seen telling about Pyongyang. Fact is, I've probably come across a few dozens (but not more) photos from NK, either "authorized" or with a certain bold twist, journalistic or artistic. When I saw these I realized that I was looking at the country from a somewhat more perceivable and understandable perspective. Plus the treatment is easy on the eye ;)
I've enjoyed this guy's perspective on the country and felt compelled to share (and put it under "Travel" section).

"...photograph what they want you to see."

They made sure everything he saw was perfect down to the last inch. Wonderful aesthetics the photographer brought to his pictures.

Very interesting photos. You can tell that everything in that country is controlled. They probably even control the insects.

I actually enjoyed looking at these photos, contrary to my expectations. Too bad they weren't allowed into the prisons. I'm sure the setting wouldn't have been as clean or orderly.

I'm pretty sure the prisons there are extremely orderly, in a way that is only possible in communist states.
