Welcome to the new RFF Servers!!

Thanks Stephen for putting RFF on such as great setup. The new hosting server setup and load balancer rocks. Compare to the best of times in the past the speed of page changes are just great :)

Thanks to Jorge for all his hard work making all the migrations...

Thanks for all the effort. Much appreciated. Does seem quite a bit more responsive - great job.

Not that we have an excess of server performance, couldn't the delay of 30s between searches now be reduced to something a bit more user friendly? Combined with the rather limited search function (which often needs some trial and error to find a useful search phrase that does not deliver too much or to few findings) it is really crippling to have half a minute wait between each attempt.

My login seems to time out even sooner than before, though. Anybody else have this problem?

The cookies RFF sets expire either after the session closes, or after one year. "Sooner" probably does not relate to the latter. You should look into whether your browser for some reason fails to delete expired cookies (e.g. due to permission issues or script blocking) or whether your browser kills/restarts your session without you logging off. I've seen the latter happen due to runaway "check for site updates" plugins or during parallel use with different browsers.

Cookies and sessions time outs will be addressed soon. The problem is related to the load balance. In a nutshell, the site thinks everyone is coming from the same place (load balancer). I need to modify some code for this. In the meantime if you get locked out it will clear every 5 minutes.

Just tried a)classifieds and b)gallery and couldn't access either one. Hope it's just temporary.

The cookie / session time out should be resolved along with the number of users on line.

I just uploaded images without any issue and classifieds seem to be working. Remember the gallery software is not the best. if your image is not within the allowed limits, you dont get any indication of the problem and it just behaves as if it was uploaded and you are left clueless.

The software I have created handles this in a better way and we may use it in the future.
