Opened the box and teh packaging was almost the same as the Leica Digilux 2. Awesome presentation! Took it out and it is SOLID. Much more so than I imagined. The controls are sweet. I have two dead/stuck pixels but Ill live with it I guess. Everything else seems perfect.
I was only able to take about 6 shots today. My 1st shots ever with a rangefinder. Im used to DSLRS and the D2.
Looks ike my D2 is up for sale!

Where'd my Bessa go?
Nice captures Steve.
If it's a D2h, a friend of mine might be interested. Email me.

No, its a Leica D2. Already sold my E1 gear, and after using the Rd1 for just a few minutes today I doubt I will use my Digilux 2 much!
Tomorrow I will get to use it, and I am reading the manual now. Those two shots were just test shots at my office but I do love how the B&W looks straight from the camera. Best B&W camera conversion I have seen yet. Plus I have the CV 35 2.5, cheapie lens, and I think its great. Can't wait until I can get a nice Leica lens, like either the 35 2.0 summicron or the 1.4 summilux. I think Ill get a 50 and a WA as well. Just not sure which. Back to reading Seans lens reviews!

That "cheapie" lens is actually very good. I agree about the B&W rendition from RAW conversion in PhotoRAW. If you haven't yet done it, try the lens for some color work - I think you'll find the color rendition to be exceptional. Enjoy!
