That is first-class bodgineering. A modification to make the camera easier to use, done cleanly (though it's a bit gaudy). I'm impressed.

Well, I see it was sold.
But if you want easy film loading and a Leica lens there are lots of bodies you can fit the lens to and/or you could practise loading the camera the way Barnack intended it...

I have seen this done before, quite neatly but I wondered about the rigidity of the body afterwards and did not really see the point of it. Many ltm Leicas have some flexibility in the back of the body.
