Not sure where to post this but the words 'Mad Gearhead' seem relevant.

I'm looking for some bits (or dead parts cameras) for 35mm Welta folders both pre and post war.

For the prewar camera I need the flat screws that hold the struts to the 'lid'. By pre-war I mean the version with front cell focussing. Schneider, not Zeiss or Leitz.

For the postwar camera I need shutter release button and assorted linkages. By post war I refer to the version where the whole lens (Tessar) moves to focus.

These are great, well made cameras. OK, not r/f but I've just brought a Weltini with Tessar back to life through the liberal use of Ronsonol and although uncoated, it produces good strong results, though the camera appears upside down from an ergonomical point of view!

The rangefinder in the Weltini is a delight by comparison with some of its contemporaries...

Good luck. Glad to see some of these old warriors being brought back to life. They are great cameras. I have some of each myself and really like them. I used a Welti while in Vietnam, not only for personal use, but as a crime scene camera since where I was, the Army didn't provide one. Always gave great photos.

If you find a good place to discuss parts cameras - particularly old folders - I'd love to hear about it.

I have a few assorted folders I was working on for a while but shelved them at this point as people were trying to sell the beat up parts cameras for as much as a working one. :|

Any project like this is always welcome here. I have a fair supply of Kodak Retina parts, but not anything for the Welta.

I'm thinking a "Looking for Parts" thread would be a good sticky for this forum, will look to open it up later.
