Hello

This is a silly question but it's hard to find the answer. Is the shutter speed dial from the early Weltzar M6's made of metal or plastic?

I know that the M3, M2, M4 (2 & P) and MP shutter dial are made of metal. And the M6TTL, M7 and M8 shutter speed dial seems plastic... but I don't know about the Weltzar M6.

After these deep thoughts, we can get more serious 😉

Best regards

Thanks maajka! I think it's metal too, but the design is different from de M3, M2, M4, MP shutter dial. The Wetzlar M6 has the shutter designed like de M6TTL, M7, M8 but with the size of the classic M's.

Just wondering. I have a Wetzlar M6, but I did't know if it's plastic or metal.

Thanks

I've just checked my M6TTL shutter speed dial and it's definitely metal.

It's larger than the previous dials, and as is well known it works in the opposite directions from what went before. It looks as if the figures are printed onto a metal foil or thin metal circular plate which is attached to the top of the dial. But the dial itself is definitely metal.
