I have a friend who was constantly being reminded by ( an irritating ) co-worker that the rapture was coming. He finally tired of her constant badgering and told her ( and I paraphrase ): "Good - then all of the nut-jobs like you will finally be gone..."

I wonder how much $$ Harold Camping made on this venture? All tax free as well.
Around $80,000,000 in the past 5 years or so I think. At least, that's what the church has brought in.

Before noon Saturday, I went down to Union Square in search of the end of the world rally and was disappointed because it was as if all had assended and I could not find any.
I started walking up up Broadway and discovered police barracades lining Broadway and learned from a cop that at 1:00 PM there would be a "Dance Parade."
Got to the staging area near the Flat Iron Building and saw a pink float with a wedding chapel set up on it to celebrate a gay marrage amung two men. Somehow I kinda got swept into the gay wedding because of all the shared happiness. Quite a specticle also BTW.
Crossed Broadway to another staging area to shoot ethnic costumes and different dance companies, untill I recognized the pole dancing float from last year's Mermaid Parade, but this time it was a squad of pole dancers warming up putting on a show, and somehow a pole dancing school has evolved.
The amazing girl that I shot last year came over and introduced herself. Up close she was prettier than ever. Blew through 14 rolls of 120 rather quickly.
I was shooting mostly a Mamiya 6 with a 50/4.0 so I had to get real close. At one point one dancer almost kicked my camera when she unsissored her knees and went spead eagle while holding her body horizontally off the pole.
Hell is running out of film.
