I'll introduce myself a bit more fully when I've filled in the profile, but I have a lovely little Werra 3 among my RFs and it has been playing up. The film advances, the shutter fires, but about a third of the shots just don't appear on the film at all. Not overexposed or mildly underexposed but absolutely nothing.
Of course, when I take the back off and observe the shutter fire I see nothing at all that would explain this - the shutter opens every time.
It's not the worlds most valuable camera but I love the Flektogon 35mm lens I use with it and I wondered if anyone here had any suggestions for a repairer with Werra experience in the UK (or indeed Europe) who might be able to fix the issue. I don't really want to replace the camera. Bitter experience with old cameras and cars teaches me that I am not capable of doing it myself!

You could do worse than give Cameraworks in Bury a call.

Very different camera, and very different budgets. For one of my Leicas yes.
I'm really after someone here with personal experience of getting a Werra sorted.

In the UK: I would recommend you ask Dr. Cees-Jan de Hoog. Professionally, he's a scientist, but old cameras are his hobby, including repair, particularly leaf shutter cameras!

If you are in the UK and Newton Ellis cannot fix your Werra, then, I doubt if anyone can. They can handle almost anything.
Cheers

Now that's someone with far worse problems than me, Sumarongi. Great site, I shall add it to my favourites.
Newton Ellis will inevitably get first dibs if no-one specific turns up. Digging around often unearths people who just don't advertise yet have been doing certain cameras for years.
