Westminster 2026

I was about to write, "Then why all the pictures of Old English Sheepdogs?" I guess I don't know bearded collies. Adding to my confusion, I notice that the two breeds were being judged together.

Thank you for your comments.

I use a Nikon D5 with a Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 and a 35 f/1.4.

The Old English and the Bearded Collies ( from Scotland ) are shown separately.

We have owned and bred Beardies for 25 years and our dogs have been to Westminster several times.

They are great dogs, but be prepared for significant grooming time.

Love the cats on 9597's shoes.

That's LOT of hours to get them that far, well done. Did you show them? We bred Entle Buchers and more recently Lagotto Romagnolo. A couple of LRs are working their way up, hope they'll get that far. We never had the patience for show, one of our EBs was pretty good, but we were busy with kids and other things.

Very well done Sir.

Sorry, I wasn't clear -- I figured they were shown separately, but the sign indicated in the same ring (and maybe the same judge?). Yes, lots of grooming time, I'm sure!

We have a partner who really enjoys showing so she did most of it. We delivered and raised/ socialized the puppies. Out of about 120 puppies over 20+ years, we produced about 30 champions and several grand champions. We remained co-owners of all puppies sold. We bred for structure, movement, and temperament. We still have a mother and son at home. Love this breed.
