Weston Master IV Repair

I have recently come into possession of a Weston Master IV light meter, but it is not in great condition. The glass front had come unglued, and was sitting on top of the needle, so I cemented it back up, but the meter still does not work (the needle does not shift in different light conditions). Is there a way to find out what exactly is wrong with it, to see if it is repairable?

First of all, check (with a multimeter) whether the cell does still deliver a current when lit. Then check whether the meter reacts to a (small) test current. If so, both core components are ok and it should not be too much of an effort to fix it.

Given that Westons in good working shape tend to be 20UKP or less on ebay UK, it might not be worth while bothering if the cell or meter are dead - the more so as the last supplier of spare parts has closed shop recently.
