My once dead Weston Master V has been reborn. Quick and effective service by Ian Partridge. Turn around was about 5 days.
Just a heads-up for UK Weston owners.

There is an outfit in Hollywood, CA that repaired mine. They did an excellent job and my meter is now working fine and agrees, within method tolerances, just fine with my other meters.

Just out of curiosity, do you remember (not including shipping) how much Quality charged to overhaul your Master V?

George did mine several years ago - from memory he charged about $80.

Very useful for those of us in the UK - especially now that Megatron have ceased trading.

Try this link: http://losangeles.citysearch.com/profile/55388/los_angeles_ca/quality_light_metric_co.html . When he did mine, it was done exceeding well and was about $80, IIRC. This guy has an industry-wide reputation (as in movie industry) for doing everything right.

Shooter of Film...
I'll also add that my Weston Master II was rebuilt by QLM two years ago and it's working just fine...George had to replace the Selenium cell in it to get it working again...
I paid around $78 for the repair...I also had a Gossen Pilot serviced at the same time...
It was working when I bought it but soon quit all together...If George got it back to original factory spec's this meter should be good for another 60+ years...
I dropped my meters off at the address in the above post...this is not his shop but a UPS/Mailbox type store...the lady there puts the meters in a box for George to pick up later...
