I'm sure that some folks watch this and wonder why anyone would do this when they could just shoot digital. Others wonder why anyone would shoot digital when you could do this.
I'm not going to argue for either, though, as a Retro-Grouch, my affinities are probably obvious. But isn't it wonderful that photography is such a huge mansion, with so many diverse rooms! It's one of the many reasons I so love this medium.

My friend Pablo Kolodny in Buenos Aires produces beautiful, dark and sometimes strange collodion prints. Before I saw them, I did wonder why. Having seen them, I mostly wonder when I might find the time to try it myself.
