What percentage of non government workers are not essential?

I suppose in some minds that those who oversee wall street could be done away with. Health care, social safety nets and the like. From the other side of course business subsidies, tax incentives for business.

Only some are incompetent/unconcerned about their jobs. The majority are worker bees like the rest of us.

RH has the right idea with the statement (paraphrased) "what are you willing to do without?" Services need to be paid for.

Check out state parks like point lobos near carmel. A walk across the Golden Gate Bridge or the new eastern span of the bay bridge.

Relax a bit in wine country. Yeah it is a bummer that Zion, Bryce, and other national parks are closed, but there is plenty of other things to do.

I look at this as political stupidity at its worst w/ a small minority of politicians holding the rest hostage.

I plan to vote my displeasure next election.

All these lazy, wasteful government employees, abusive law enforcement nosing into our business, judges who don't even know the law as well as I do, and park rangers! Don't even get me started on those clowns. They can all go without a paycheck as far as I'm concerned, because they don't deserve a cent from an honest, humble, hard-working God-fearing man like me, living in relative comfort with all my guns in one of the safest, most well-fed, spacious and wealthy nations in the world. How can all these people I don't know, doing things I know nothing about fail to meet the most basic standards of morality and character: my standards?

There's the M series mafia, the P&S provisionals and the angry brigade attacking everyone. And have you noticed how the mad hatters have infiltrated the LTM threads?
