I have both of these, and love them. I can't compare them with the Hexar, or any other compact in that bracket, as I haven't used them. I find the analogue displays on the cameras easy to use, and like them because it sets them apart from other cameras, but I am sometimes puzzled by the focus distance dial, as, when using autofocus, the needle often points at a distance which seems considerably at variance with the distance I would have estimated, which makes matters confusing when I want to manually focus. Having said that, I haven't had too many focus failures in my pictures.
Of the two, I prefer the 28Ti, although I have used it far less, as the flash control is much easier to use, with a sliding switch to select flash on or off, rather than a tiny button which has to be depressed at the same time as the shutter release.
I would be interested in seeing other opinions, particularly comparisons between the 35Ti and the Contax T3 or Leica CM, and the 28Ti versus the Ricoh GR1.
