What Are These Lenses Worth Today?

As far as the red scale 5cm Elmar is concerned there is no precise answer as value is not the same as asking price and the range is so huge. Judging by completed ebay auctions it would be hard for a private seller to get anything like the price suggested by Tom above, though some premium rate dealers are demanding far more even than that. However they don't appear to sell them, at least not on ebay, which is why I would suggest that $300 - $350 for a clean example with caps would be a more realistic expectation.

Re: the Hexar, in my experience, the most avid collectors of Japanese LTM glass are in the home country (maybe Taiwan & HK, now, too). You might want to forward your question to someone in Japan, like Bellamy of Japan Camera Hunter, to get a better sense of the market there.
Can you provide me with Bellamy's e-mail or other address? Thanks for your suggestion.

Simon, you're correct - the price is dependent on the point where the buyer is willing to buy and the seller willing to sell. Would you value/price the 50/2.8 LTM Elmar the same or higher?

A f2.8/50mm LTM Elmar would/should be in this price bracket $250 - $350 for a very very clean, ready to use lens. (no CLA needed)

Collectors grade (like new mint, which is really hard to find) just add an extra $50 to $150, this depends on how much that IIIG owner wants to get the correct lens for his camera? 😉
