What Are To YOU The Most Significant/Important unRF-Features?

Oops, I forgo to mention that, of course, angle finders are available for Barnacks and are embedded in a RF. Having said that I'll add that the WINTU was a waste of my money as the RF is unusable and that's the entire point of a Leica, surely?

I'm in the camp of TTL/WYSIWYG. Sometimes I'd love to. My 35mm's are SLRs mostly and a good viewfinder is simply magnificient. The OM1 for example. With it I have a closer idea to the final shot plus it gets engraved into the memory much more precisely. Opposite to the RF's "infinite" DoF, the memory in SLR lies more to the wide open image.

If you want to portray yourself as a serious photographer, you need an SLR, the bigger the better, and don't ignore the size of the lens.. fit at least a 70-200/2.8 with a big honking hood. Add battery grip for extra points. Visit any camera or photo club and you'll know what I mean; you don't even have to use it, you just have to plonk it down on the table and show it off. Only after that can you pull out your RF/compact/single-use without being snickered at..

Amusingly I recall being at a camera store long ago and there was this lady that wanted a DSLR. Comes the point that she says to the salesman:

"Yeah, but, can you put it bigger?" (pointing at dinky 18-55 kit lens)
-You mean a tele lens? (he tried to make a bit of sense out of it)
"No... bigger, bigger"

And it was for a trip, but really wanted to impress some friends and relatives there.

Well, I have a Texas Leica (Fuji 6x9), ain't small.
 
The primary reason I use an SLR over an RF, when I choose to do so, is Depth of Field Preview. That is worth a lot to me.

The TTL viewing, in general, is a nice thing. But DoF preview is the major advantage.

Of course, Macro and long lenses are much easier to use on SLRs than on RFs as well, or Leica wouldn't have made the Visoflex :)
