What are Your Favorte Inexpensive Camera Do-dads/Accessories?

I am a big fan of cheap USB chargers for camera batteries. I have a portable battery pack that I can attach them to wandering around, use them in the car and lastly I use a 5 port USB charger. The last is useful when away as many places supply one or two sockets so with all the other stuff we can charge phones and batteries.

I always like to have a classic small selenium meter in my bag, such as a Zeiss Ikophot, Weimarlux, Bewi, or Gossen... to just to make me feel nostalgic

I recently bought an L bracket for my Sony NEX 7 and this would have to be my most recent favorite doo-dad.
At around $20 give or take, its primary benefit for me is not the fact that I can quickly mount and unmount the camera from a tripod (I seldom use one with this camera), it is the extra "heft" and hand grip space it provides - given a battery grip is not available for the NEX 7. (I think one may have been once but it never took off, most likely due to the speed with which Sony changes it models and I have never found one on eBay or elsewhere - though they are of course readily available for full frame models).
I have found that an L bracket gives a firmer grip than the camera normally has especially when a largish legacy lens is mounted. The one I have is so designed that batteries can be changed without demounting the thing which is handy.
Even the vertical bracket on the left hand side is useful, providing a more substantial hand grip on that side of the camera - I had feared it would get in the way. If it had they seem all to be designed to be removable so even that would not have been a real issue.

The following image is pretty close to the one I have - most are, the main variation being whether the bottom plate extends all the way across or stops halfway.
